​Good afternoon, MAS families,

I hope everyone is staying healthy and that you had a wonderful week. It is hard to believe that we only have 2 weeks left until the holiday break! We have lots of fun and excitement coming up so keep checking your December calendar!

Items to note for this week:

-Tuesday, December 13 – Pajama Day and cookie-decorating in the gym! If you would like to help with the cookie-decorating, please reach out to Ashley (Ashley-lynn94@live.com) or Becky (dubayr3@gmail.com).

-Tuesday, December 13 – Holiday concert dress rehearsal (afternoon) for students

-Wednesday, December 14 – Holiday concert at 10:30! We will have a box available for donations for the food bank (not mandatory but welcomed). If you are taking your child with you after the concert, please just make sure you connect with their teacher so they know.

-Thursday, December 15 – Student Voice meeting

-Friday, December 16 – Friendship Friday read aloud with Mrs. Jordan

-Friday, December 16 – Popcorn Friday

Looking ahead/reminders:

-Please refer to the December calendar for upcoming events.

-If you would like to volunteer for the cookie-decorating day (Dec. 13) or the shopping spree (Dec. 20), please reach out to Becky or Ashley; their emails are above. With so many illnesses going around, it has been difficult to follow through as planned with some of our initiatives.

-If you are struggling and would like to be added to our food backpack program, please reach out to Mrs. Yerxa or myself. We are happy to add families at any time. Backpacks go home with students on Thursdays and all we ask is that you return the backpack itself so we can repack it weekly.

-Just a reminder that Josh Paul is still looking for donations for food hampers for our families in need. The cost is $65 and will provide everything a family needs for Christmas dinner. If you would like more information or to donate please contact Josh at jrpaul1983@gmail.com. Thank you SO MUCH to those who have donated so far! Again, we have the best community.

-As well, Samantha Bell, realtor, will be supporting our students in need by providing them with a new pair of pajamas before Christmas. If you would like to donate or would like more information, please contact Samantha at samantha@exitadvantage.ca.
