Weekly Memo - Nov. 14-18

Good afternoon, MAS families. We had a wonderful Remembrance Day ceremony today; please see the attached picture. Many thanks to Bob Griffin from the Legion for coming to speak at the end of our ceremony. Thank you to all service members, past and present, who have sacrificed to make the world a better place!

Tuesday was ‘Diabetes Awareness Day’ and we were fortunate to have Chris from ‘Diabuddies’ present to our students about what diabetes is. A huge thank you goes out to Amanda, a parent of one of our own Type 1 Diabetes warriors, for making posters, organizing the presentation and planning a guessing game for our students. Some pictures are below.

Our lost and found pile is growing! All teachers have had their students check out these items, and everything that is left is in the pictures below. Please check it out and if you see something that belongs to your child, send me an email and I will ensure it goes home with them.

Java Moose orders have arrived! Our Home and School Committee is working hard to get the orders sorted and distributed. You’ll have your orders by early next week!

I sent home a monthly calendar earlier this week, and we will continue to do this at the beginning of the month from now on. Hopefully you’ll find this convenient to stick on your fridge to keep up-to-date on school activities.
