​Hello MAS families. We have had a wonderful week here at MAS! On Wednesday we celebrated student appreciation day. From the mouths of students- IT WAS THE BEST DAY EVER! We started the morning with music playing, greeted by all teachers, and our unicorn. They came in to bagels and yogurt parfaits for breakfast followed by fun active stations outside. You may have noticed your child brought home a stuffed Benny Bear from Kiwanis. They were thrilled to receive these. The morning was perfect and what a special day dedicated to our students. I hope this initiative continues for years to come.

Information Items-

Field Trips- All classes have upcoming field trips over the next weeks. All venues have operational plans in place and while our students are there they are closed to the public to maintain our class bubbles. Students will have masks and abide by mask rules while out.

K-2 Field Trip- Science East. On Monday, June 14^th our K-2 classes will be travelling by bus to Science East for a field trip.

Grade 3/4 Field Trip- On Monday, June 21^st they will be going to Get Active on the company bus at 9:30am. They will participate in fun activities like Go kart track, lazer tag battle, obstacle course, swing, climbing line, etc and lots more fun!

Grade 5 Year End- Lots happening for our Grade 5s as we celebrate their last few weeks at MAS. On Friday, June 18^th they will visit Clay café and then the NB Sports Hall of fame. They will return to school for a pizza party. On Wednesday, June 16^th we will host them for the afternoon for lunch and a movie with staff. On Wednesday, June 23^rd we will celebrate their success and time here at MAS.

Monday, June 14-  K-2 visit Science East

Tuesday, June 15- Hot lunch- Great Canadian Bagel. Final Home and School and PSSC meeting 6:30pm.

Wednesday, June 16- Pajama Day and smoothies! Grade 5 lunch and movie with staff.

Thursday, June 17-

Friday, June 18- Hot lunch- Papa John’s. Grade 5 Field Trip to Clay Café and NB Sports Hall of Fame

Upcoming Dates-

June 20- Happy Father’s Day

June 21- Grade 3/4 Field Trip to Get Active

June 22- K-5 Field Fun Water Day (rain date June 24) Beach Day/Hawaiian Day Dress. Be sure to wear water clothes, bring a towel, hat and sun screen.

June 23- Grade 5 Celebration 10:30am outside. (If rain there will be an alternate plan to go live virtually from the gymnasium)

June 24- Face Pie event re Jump Rope for Heart

June 25- Last day of school. Report Cards go home.
