Week at a Glance Jan 11-15

It has been a great start to 2021 here at MAS! The weather has been amazing for lots of outdoor play. Classes got to participate in snow shoeing, extra outdoor classroom time, and winter walks. Students returned rested, ready, and eager to learn!

Reminders-

Mask wearing- Students and staff have done awesome jobs at wearing their masks when needed. Teachers are mindful in giving student masks breaks and plan activities at desk where they can remove them. Again I remind you to please send in at least two clean masks daily- one for inside and one for outside use. Also, wearing a mask can increase thirst so please be sure your child brings a water bottle with them daily.

Being Prepared for at Home Learning- There has been lots of discussion/questions with moving into Orange Alert and rising cases of Covid about at home learning. I want to assure parents that teachers are prepared if the need arises to provide learning to your child at home. If this does occur, it will be essential for parents to be actively involved by checking email daily, helping students login to teams, and communicating with teachers frequently. Teachers will continue with teaching curriculum through online platforms (youtube/teams), assessing student learning, meeting students online, and providing activities for students to complete. If at anytime you have questions or concerns about this, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Home and School and PSSC Meeting- Our next meeting will be on Wednesday, January 20th at 6:30pm virtually. All are welcome, please let us know if you would like to join our meeting.
