Hello
MAS Families! Hard to believe we will welcome April on Monday. With the weather
getting warm and more rain in the forecast our playground is becoming
a big puddle and very wet. We will still try to get outside for recess as
often as we can, but it may be to get fresh air and a walk around
the front driveway and on the sidewalks. Please keep this in mind if you
are to visit the school during school hours.
Reminders:
Report Cards- Report cards will go home on Monday, April 1st. Please take
the time to sit with your child and share in their success this
term.
Student-Parent-Teacher Interviews- Conference times will be included with your child's
report card. If you did not return your preferred time, teachers will
assign a time to you. Please communicate with the classroom teacher
if you are unable to attend to set up time to discuss your child's progress.
This term students come along for the conference to share their learning
with you and to show what they know.
Staffing- We
would like to 'Welcome Back' Mme McCabe from maternity leave. She will be
teaching the Grade 3/4 class to the end of the year.
Students involved in Multi-Age Project-
Students involved in project will be
visiting Leo Hayes on Monday, April 1st. We will be meeting with our Leo Hayes
students and creating profiles to share with our residents at York Care.
Spring Clothing Exchange- Notice went home this week for our Spring Clothing
exchange. If your child has outgrown their spring and/or summer clothing and
would like to donate to our exchange, please bring items to school by April
3rd. The clothing will be on display for ALL families to take what they may
need April 3, 4th, and 5th during student-parent-teacher interviews. This is
absolutely free for everyone! There will also be some discarded library
books on display to take for your home library.
Breakfast Program- Tuesday (April 2, 2019) - Breakfast will be
cereal and smoothies. When the students arrive at school, if they wish to come have breakfast,
please remind them to come in our grade 3-5 door. We will take off our boots,
put our coats and book bags in classroom
