Hello MAS families! We have had a
great week here at MAS. Students participated in Canada Learning Code, a
not-for-profit organization that promotes diversity in the tech industry and
provides technical education for our youth. Students had a great time learning
about coding! We also participated today in the Ring a Bell Campaign to
increase education and take positive actions to support children's mental
health.
A few
reminders:
Christmas Angel
Tree- We
only have a few angels left. If you would like to take one to support our
Christmas families, please stop by and take an angel or two.
When you select an angel please stop by the
office and let Roxy know your angel number, so we can
keep track who is responsible for what gifts. You may also call
in and ask Roxy to select an angel for you to send home
with your child if you can't stop by. When you return the gift we ask
that it come back wrapped with the angel tree tag attached to the
gift. Please have wrapped gifts back to the school no later than December
20th.
Christmas Concert- Our Christmas concert will be
Wednesday, December 12 @ 10:00am. We will open doors for seating at 9:30am.
This will allow us time to practice in the morning prior to our
show.
Santa's Little Helper- The orders have arrived. Volunteers are
coming in Monday to sort the orders and they will be sent home with
students at the end of the day. Thank you again for all your support.
York Care Christmas
Performance-
Students again this year will be taking their Christmas Concert down the road
and performing for the residence of York Care. We will leave the school at 9:30am on Friday,
December 14th and return around 11:00am.
Milk Orders- We will be sending home a milk notice on
Monday. This will give milk buyers the option to change to chocolate milk and
for those that do not currently get milk to sign up. Order forms are due
back on December 19 to begin ordering chocolate milk for January.
Volunteers for
Breakfast Program- A letter will be coming home Monday. The staff and Home and School would
like to offer a breakfast program to the whole student body one
day a week. We are seeking volunteers that can help out on Tuesday mornings and
donations. Please fill out volunteer form and return it to school.
MAS Christmas
Caroling- On
Tuesday December 18th we are inviting students and parents back to
the school to spread some Christmas cheer around the neighborhood. We will
meet here at 6pm and break into groups to go caroling. We will
