​Hello MAS Families! Thank you to all those parents/guardians that took the opportunity to come meet with your child’s teacher. We hope that you found your time informative. If you were unable to attend please reach out to your child’s teacher to discuss your child’s progress and areas of growth. As interviews do not happen often, please feel free at any time to check in on your child’s progress.

Thank you to the Home and School for organizing the clothing swap. This was a wonderful idea and many families benefitted.

DOTS for kids Day- RING a Bell Campaign- On December 1^st with our LHHS buddies we will participate in the ring a bell campaign to raise awareness and increase education to inspire youth, family, and communities to take positive actions in support of children’s mental health. If your child has a little bell they would like to bring on Friday to join in and ring, please send it along.

Hot Lunch Order Forms- Hot lunch order forms are due on Tuesday, November 28th. Reminder that payment needs to be submitted separately for each hot lunch order form.

Christmas Families- We are reaching out to our school community to see if any families are in need of extra support this Christmas. If you feel you could use a little extra help (gifts, groceries, etc) PLEASE get in touch with Roxy- Roxanne.yerxa@nbed.nb.ca or Mrs. Burnett- Cynthia.burnett@nbed.nb.ca  or call 453-5422, sometime this coming week. Please not that this is kept strictly confidential.

Christmas Concert- We are still looking for some volunteers with a love of being creative and enjoy to decorate. We will meet on Monday, December 4^th at 6pm to brainstorm ideas and put a plan in place.

OURSchool Survey- Grade 4 and 5 students will be participating in a school student perception survey to share with us their thoughts about MAS. The survey measures 21 indicators based on most recent research on school and classroom effectiveness.

Hot Lunch- This week we will have hot lunch on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Tuesday November 28  - Great Canadian Bagel. Intramurals. Hot lunch order forms are due.

Wednesday November 29   -

Thursday November 30   - Kindergarten and grade 3 visit York Care by bus.  Pizza Hot Lunch. Etsey Art After School Enrichment for grades 3-5 (3-4:30pm).

Friday December 1  – LHHS Clubs. DOTS for kids Day- RING a bell campaign. Tots n’ taters lunch.

December 6- Family Literacy Night at MAS. Come in your Christmas PJs.

December 8- Yoga and Art Richard Presentation at Royal Road (whole school to attend)

December 11- Whole School to visit York Care and perform our concert songs.

December 14- Turkey Dinner at Moco in Mactaquac

December 15- Family Christmas Movie Night (stay tuned for details)

December 18- 1:00pm Christmas Concert (Weather date- December 19^th)

December 20- Student Christmas Shopping Spree

December 22- Last Day of school for Christmas Break.
