Take Our Kids To Work Day
Take Our Kids to Work (TOKTW) Day will take place on Wednesday, November 14, 2018. TOKTW Day is an annual event where students step into their future for a day and get a glimpse into the working world. The day involves students in Grade 9 spending the day in the workplace of a parent, relative, friend or volunteer host, where they experience and learn about the world of work.

Saint Mary's University Open House

​Visit one of Saint Mary's open house events to meet future professors & classmates, participate in session, and tour the campus. Events are October 13 & 26, from 9:30am-1:00pm. For more information please visit smu.ca/openhouse

University of King's College Open House

This event will take place on their campus in Halifax, NS, on Friday, October 26 (9am-1:30pm)​, and again on Friday, March 22. For more information, visit their website: www.ukings.ca Free on-the-spot admissions are available to those who apply at the open house.

Mount Allison Open House

​The fall open house at Mount A will take place on Friday, October 12. Students can attend to receive a tour, meet with an admissions counsellor, or meet a professor. To RSVP, please visit mta.ca/visit.

Mount A will also be having a spring open house on Friday, March 1.

St. Thomas University Open House

Saturday, Nov. 3rd, STU will be holding their open house. Students can spend the door touring the campus and residences, meet professers, and hear about student services and campus traditions. Interested individuals can RSVP at stu.ca or by calling 1-877-788-4443. ​

ScholarTree is committed to helping reduce student debt in Canada by making scholarship more accessible. Students can find which scholarships are best fit for them by signing up at ScholarTree.ca.

Horatio Alger Canadian Scholarship Program

Awarded to students who show integrity, determination, and courage - students who have overcome adversity to succeed in life. This scholarship is valued up to $10,000 and the application is due October 25th. More information can be found at: www.horatioalger.ca/en/scholarships.

Loran Scholars Foundation

Awarded to students who show character, leadership, and strong commitment to community service. The scholarship is $100,000 over four years. Deadline for application is October 24th. For more information and to apply, please visit: www.loranscholar.ca
