Assumption Life Scholarships

Each year, the Assumption Life Foundation gives out 6-7 bursaries of $1 500 to students who attain certain academic standards and who have financial needs. The applicant must also show an average of 70%. Deadline for application is April 30th. Canadian Legion Youth Leadership Training Camp

The Youth Leadership Training Camp will be held at Mount Allison University from July 5th-12th. This camp, sponsored by the Royal Canadian Legion, New Brunswick Command, is open to students in grade 10 & 11. The camp is designed to teach leadership and organization, through sport and activities. Interested in applying? See Ms. Wood for an application. Deadline is Feb. 28th. ​

Marine Mammal Summer Camp
A unique 10-day camp offers hands-on introduction to Marine Biology for teens 14-17. The camp is presented by Saint Mary's University and the Canadian Whale Institute. Deadline to apply is April 14th. Information can be found at smu.ca/marinemammalcamp

The Mary Majka Scholarship Fund

The Mary Majka Scholarship Fund was established with the intent to further youth engagement with nature and our natural heritage.  This scholarship is open to New Brunswick students from middle school to those attending an undergraduate program. Awards will be granted on a yearly basis ranging from $250 to $1000. Deadline is March 31st.

Three types of scholarships are available:

 1. High School graduate, upon entering an appropriate post-secondary education program
 2. Post-secondary student who is already enrolled in an appropriate field of study; or
 3.  Any student at middle or high school for a project that is deemed appropriate according to the original mandate of the scholarship fund.

Stacey Levitt Award
The Stacey Levitt Memorial Award was created in memory and celebration of Stacey’s life by her family through Parachute. This annual high school student award encourages Canadian youth to embody Stacey’s qualities and ideals and Parachute’s overarching goal of a long life lived to the fullest, while maintaining an approach that is rooted in risk management and injury prevention.
The Levitt family awards each year's selected recipient $2,500 in funding to help them live their life to the fullest.

RBC Future Launch Scholarship
The RBC Future Launch Scholarship will be awarded to those who show passion and a clear vision for their future.
  • For youth enrolled part time in school or not in school at all
  • Grades and transcripts are not required
  • Over 400 scholarships available throughout 2020
The $1,500 scholarship can be used for many different things, including:
  • Short-term courses
  • Workshops
  • Certificates
  • Necessary equipment or books
