Saint Mary's University's Writing Centre

Each year, the Saint Mary's University Writing Centre offers graduating high school students an opportunity to experience university life, as well as an introduction to post-secondary academic skills.  Over a period of two days, the Summer Writing Workshop familiarizes students with university-level writing and critical thinking, building on skills acquired in high school.  The workshop is August 14th and 15th, 2018.

The two-day event, including meals and all mateirals, is priced at $200.00 without residence and $266.65 with residence.

Saint Mary's University Summer Event for Grade 11 Students

Saint Mary's University will be holding their annual Grade 11 Summer Event July 14th and 15th.  This two day event is designed for grade 11 students who live in rural Nova Scotia or out of province to give them an opportunity to visit the campus when they might not otherwise be able to. 

Students will receive a guided tour of the campus and of downtown Halifax, as well as sessions on programs, admissions, student life and residence.  The university provides all food and accommodations in the Loyola residence for this event.

Mount Allison Music

Mount Allison University will once again be hositng a week-long Summer Academy of Music, this year from July 22-28, 2018 for pianists, singers, string, woodwind, brass, and percussion instrumentalists ages 14 to 19.

Holland College Campus Tour Day

Saturday, November 4th, Holland College campuses will be open from 10am - 1pm for prospective students (and friends and family) to come in for a visit.  Find out about programs, facilities, and services.  You'll get a glimpse of college life and answers to all your questions. 

If you apply to your program of choice on that day, they will waive the application fee.  ​

It is a "drop in" format, so choose a time that is convenient for you.

On Friday, October 13th, Mount Allison University will be holding a Fall Open House for prospective students and their families.  

You will have the opportunity to tour the campus, learn more about academic programs and extracurricular activities, eat at their award-winning dining hall, sit in on mini-lectures and have time to explore residences, labs, and all Mount Allison has to offer.  They will also be providing on-the-spot admissions (and waiving the $50 application fee) for students who bring their most recent transcripts!
