​Hello families,

I hope you all enjoyed your weekend and took some time to pay respect to all the brave service men and women who have fought to protect our rights and freedom. Here are the important items for the upcoming week:

• Reading 15 minutes per night in French - we are working on the visualization strategy currently
  
• Xtra-math (practicing basic addition/subtraction or multiplication/division facts)
• Home and School is currently collecting items for the Basket Fundraiser. Our class has the iPod basket, so we are asking families to contribute $10 (if you can)
• A form will be going home to sign up for Parent-Teacher interviews. Please complete and return ASAP to book your time slot.
• This week M Mark will be beginning a 5 week teaching block in our classroom. We will be beginning a Science unit focusing on Weather together!
• A reminder to return all library books for Tuesday
• Tuesday morning we have a special Skype session with Maddox's uncle, Michael Miller. He will be sharing with us his experience as a military service member and how resilience has helped him overcome obstacles. 
• Tuesday is also World Kindness Day! Remember to take a little extra time to be kind to those around us.
• This Friday we will be visiting Greener Village for a tour and a chance to do some community volunteering.
