​Hello families,

I hope that everyone had a great weekend!  Here is the weekly update and reminders for this coming week.

·       In literacy, we are finishing our autobiographies and our videos of our autobiographies.  Students will be doing the final revisions of their good copies as well as a self-evaluation of their work. We will also be discussing what we are thankful for and what we like to do during Thanksgiving this week. You should continue to see a French book coming home each night for reading practice and a retell. 

·       In math, students will continue to work with patterns and equations with an unknown variable. We will explore how to recognize patterns in addition tables.  We will also practice using equations with an unknown variable to create our own word problems.  For example: 15 - * = 6

o   I have 15 Pokemon cards and the wind blew away some of them and now I only have 6 Pokemon cards.  How many Pokemon cards did the wind blow away?

Reminders:

·       Students are asked to bring in any fundraiser forms.

·       Picture day will take place on Monday, October 1.

·       Presentation on Diversity and Inclusion by the Multicultural Association Monday, October 1.

·       Tuesday is library day. Please return any books so they can be exchanged.

·       Monday, October 8^th: No school due to Thanksgiving.

·       Wednesday, October 10^th: Student Council presidential elections.

·       Wednesday, October 10^th: District Cross-Country meet.

·       Saturday, October 13^th: Nissan Test-Drive Fundraiser.
