Updates and Reminders for January 29-February 2nd, 2018

Dear Parents and Families,
Here are the weekly updates and reminders for students in Grade 5 Mme Conn's class:
1) STEAM Expo-This is a School District wide intiative. It is a Science, Technology, Engingeering, Mathematics Fair and has friendly competition for students in grades 1-12. Registration is open
until March 13, 2018. Please apply online if interested: https://secure1.nbed.nb.ca/sites/ASD-W/steam/Pages/default.aspx
 
2) Dreambox-Please have students work on 2 new lessons on Multiplication or Division to coordinate with our Math Group Unit.
3) Reading-40 minutes a week at home. Students may read books, newspapers, articles online or Raz Kids reading program. Students have their username and password in their agenda.
4) Physical Education-please bring a change of shorts and t-shirts for Mon, Tues, Thurs, Friday for physical education.
5) Skating is Feb 22nd. Please send in $2.00 for the bus by Jan 31st.
6) Extra Skates needed! Do you have an extra pair of skates for a student? Please let us know what sizes are available. amy.conn@nbed.nb.ca
7) Pink T-shirts for Anti-bullying are $5.75 and availalbe for order until Jan 31st from Mlle Howlett.
8) Intensive English program begins on Friday, February 2nd, 2018.
