Hello Families,

​It was wonderful to meet with so many of you last week! The following are updates and reminders​ for this week (November 27 - December1):

• Students are encouraged to read their French book aloud each night and do a quick retell.
• Continue to practice numbers and structures at home.
• Dreambox is an excellent resource to support math learning at home.
• Wednesday we will be working with an ASD-W Tech specialist as we work towards a special coding project and develop our coding skills.
• Thursday there will be an assembly to celebrate the Grand Opening of our Chinese Classroom.
• In literacy, we are continuing learn how to describe our community with a focus on what we like to do and see in Fredericton. Structures to review this week are:
• Quelle est une attraction amusante à Fredericton? À Fredericton, une attraction amusante est _________. (What is a fun attraction/place in Fredericton?)
• Que fais-tu à cette attraction amusante? Là, je peux __________ avec ma famille. (What can you do at this attraction/place?)
• Où aimes-tu magasiner? J'aime magasiner chez _______. (Where do you like to shop?)
• Que vois-tu au centre d'achats? Je vois ___________ au centre d'achats. (What do you see at the shopping mall?)
• In math, Mlle Howlett and Mme Sheehan's group is continuing to work on addition and subtraction with a focus on estimating sums and differences and finding the exact answer by drawing base ten blocks.
