6DEFGI Math -- In-Class Work

Today, work continued on the relationship between mixed numbers and improper fractions; we are beginning to plot them on a number line.

Students were shown a strategy for converting mixed numbers into improper fractions (multiply the denominator by the whole number and then add the numerator).  I encourage them to practice this strategy at home until it is practically second nature.

There is no homework tonight as more in-class practice is needed.
