Social Studies Test

Social Studies: Archeology  
 
This Friday (Oct. 28th) the students have a social studies test; therefore, they will have to read and review the notes that I have provided for the test. These notes can be found in their homework duo-tang. In class, we have reviewed the notes and have studied for the test, but they will need more time to study at home.
 
The test – The students do not have to memorize each definition, but they do have to be able to recognize them. I will have several definitions and various words on the test and all the students have to do is match the word with the appropriate definition. They only thing that they do have to memorize is the how an archeologists does research on past events and where a historian works. The students have put a star on the sections that need to be memorized. They need to know the other sections so that they can match words with definitions. The test is made up of short answers, matching words to definitions and true and false questions.
 
For this week, students are not expected to complete their literacy activity for 15/20 minutes per night. There are no math sheets and no verb worksheet because students will need time to study for the test. It is important that they take the time to study because their mark for this test will have a huge impact on their social studies mark for their upcoming report card.
