Badminton Gym times!

NHS Canoe Club

​Nackawic Canoe Club met this week to decide which members would want to build their own canoe paddle after March Break is over. There seemed to be 6 members interested. The cost is $45.00 to build a paddle and we will start laminating up the paddle blanks after school and then spend a Saturday shaping the paddles. Following that, it will take time after school sanding and varnishing. The goal is to have our new paddles ready for our first canoe trip this spring.

World Issues students getting letters back from MLAs.

​This week, 3 World Issues from 1st semester received letters from NB Cabinet Ministers in regards to the concerns and solutions they forwarded to in December.

Phone call from Fredericton City Hall

​As part of the World Issues class, students wrote letters to various levels of government on the topic of Quality of Life in Canada.  Several students wrote letters to Mayor O'Brien in Fredericton with their solutions to prevent homelessness.  On Monday, I received a call from the Mayor's office.  He was very impressed and we are making arrangements for him to travel upriver to meet and work with this amazing group of kids.
