Nackawic High School has the chance to send a few students to a conference being held here in Nackawic. It is called Changing ​minds. This conference involves education to promote the understanding of mental health and illness. It provides  participants information about the impact of living with a mental health diagnosis, understanding depression, anxiety, psychosis, mania and mood swings and complex mental health problems. Participants practice skills to interact with and provide support to those struggling with mental illness. It’s a ‘walk a mile in someone else shoes’ approach to really understanding the challenge of living with a mental health diagnosis to decrease stigma towards those living with mental illness. It’s a two day course provided by 2 CMHA workers. It is being held March 28 and 29^th at the Nackawic Lions Club. If you are interested in attending please see Mr Gallop by Friday March 1, 2019. You will be responsible to get yourself to the site and home on these two days
