Early Start Credits

Sending out a reminder that Grade 12 students are still able to register for Early Start courses in the Winter term of this school year.  This could be a good option for students who are taking elective courses second semester that they do not require for graduation or post-secondary, and would like to get started on post-secondary studies.  Many of these courses begin before the end of Semester 1 (January), so some flexibility in scheduling will be required for a few weeks as these students begin course studies.  Funding is available from PETL and it is important to remind students to apply for funding when they register. If you have students who you think would be a good fit, feel free to reach out for support with registration!

Early Start courses are offered through STU, UNB, Mount Allison University, and NBCC.  The video below explains eligibility, program benefits, and the registration process while highlighting some of the exciting course offerings for the 2022/2023 school year.  Please feel free to share the informational video and links below with students and familiesThe video may also be shared on the morning announcements, or posted to the school website.  If you have questions about the Early Start program, or other flexible options for credit, please reach out to myself, or optionsforcredit@gnb.ca
