Queens University Accelerated Route to Medical School

The Queen’s University Accelerated Route to Medical School (QuARMS) is a unique opportunity for Chancellor’s Scholarship nominees to enter medical school after only two years of undergraduate study in the Arts, Science or Computing programs in the Faculty of Arts and Science.

QuARMS offers 10 exceptional high school students a unique two-year undergraduate educational opportunity that prepares them for direct-entry into Queen’s School of Medicine.  In addition to their enrollment in first and second-year courses in the Faculty of Arts and Science, QuARMS students will be exposed to experiential learning strategies aimed at honing their skills in advocacy, communication, collaboration, and professionalism.

This educational initiative, unique among post-secondary institutions across Canada, will shorten the minimum length of undergraduate training for students before entering medical school at Queen’s, while at the same time enriching and focusing their curricular and extracurricular university experiences to prepare them for direct-entry into medical training. This reduces the time frame for receiving a Medical Degree (MD), from one of Canada’s premier medical schools.

QuARMS is the only admission track of its type in Canada for high school students.
