FALL 2020 OPEN HOUSE

Planning for NBCC's Fall Open House is well underway. The Open House will be an excellent opportunity for prospective students to explore our campuses, meet with faculty and staff, and learn more about the NBCC advantage. Our Open House will be entirely virtual this year, but this will allow students from all over New Brunswick to explore NBCC options that they may never have considered. Mark your calendars and stay tuned for further details for our Open House on October 29th.

GRADE 11 APPLICANT UPDATE

An email was sent by the College Admissions Service (CAS) earlier this month to all grade 12 students that applied for admission during their grade 11 year for Fall 2021 to remind them that they are required to submit a copy of their grade 12 transcript. Please note that CAS will no longer send applicant listings to high schools.

NEW PROGRAM ALERT

Trades Foundations - The program will create a two-year delivery, with students able to explore multiple trades in the first year and then move into a chosen trade in the second year.  The move to a two-year program will be attractive to those students who are thinking about a trade but who are also uncertain about which trade would be the best fit. Start date: January 2021

Social Services Community Worker - This all-new program will combine skills in social work, behavioural sciences, and humanities to prepare graduates for work with families, groups, and communities. It will incorporate elements of the former Human Services and Child and Youth Care programs and will be designed to enable students to specialize in a specific area of Human Services, such as youth care or elder care. The Child and Youth Care and Human Services programs will no longer be accepting applications. There will be an exit point in the program after the 1st year and we will still have Special Admissions seats in the new program. Start date: September, 2021

More information regarding both of these programs will be posted to nbcc.ca as soon as it becomes available.
