Hello students and  equally amazing parents,

Welcome to grade 8 FI Math for 2019-2020! 

I have a plethora of helpful and supporting documents that align with the concepts I am teaching this year.  Please peruse the many resources I have made under my `documents`section.  There are also previous exams with answers attached and many ppts that may be helpful when reviewing.

In addition to class assignments, projects and game based assessment, there is student choice.

Over the years, many students have shared with me their love of video games. I thought, why not have them be able to `level up`` by completing extra credit assignments and creating their own, which is enrichment.  Extra credit will not be given a traditional mark, but will be noted as completed and given credit or a boost on each report card.  noted as completed and given credit or a boost on each report card.  noted as completed and given credit or a boost on each report card.  

 Enrichment will be given a mark that is factored directly into the average each term.  Enrichment is student motivated, student selected and student directed. Everyone is welcome and I hope that every student engages in this:  good confidence builder.

Homework: 

Homework is a (mostly) daily occurance except on Fridays (unless the work isn`t finished in class).  They are given time in class to complete homework and will only have t bring it home if it isn`t finished.  I expect if students are absent to check the website.
