In Mathematics: Last week, students worked on angle and perpendicular bisectors using compass, protractors and MirasTM. 7C students will have one more work day this week. New this coming week, students will move onto integers to wrap up the Numbers Sense strand. We will be introduced to the concepts and have lots of practice time this week.
 
In Science: We began our unit on Heat. Students have been taking notes in class, and have also performed and written up a quick lab on either solids, liquids or gases to solidify their understanding of what happens to particles when they’re heated and cooled (7C due Monday, 7B due Tuesday, 7A due Friday)! This coming week, we will continue to look at particle theory, and we’ll see a quick teaser for an Escape Room on Heat that we’ll be doing in class. That will be a couple weeks away.
 
In Entrepreneurship: This week students ramped up production with their products being made in preparation to be sold in upcoming events. This coming week they will continue to make their products, work on posters and poster boards, and determine where and when to sell their products (at school events and in our community).
