​Hi! 

The quiz on square roots is still scheduled for tomorrow. I had posted the concepts but I'll repost them:  the first 30 perfect squares; estimating imperfect squares to nearest whole number ( ex. The square root of 37 is closest to which perfect square root?  6 or providing a reasonable estimation without a calculator) 

The quiz is multiple choice with one bonus on estimating an imperfect square root to one decimal place showing WHY or HOW you came to this conclusion-critical thinking) 

You should all have the squares and roots up to 900 ( 30 squared) BUT you should be able to estimate as well using benchmarks as we have done in class  

You should know vocab as well for example:  3 squared. The big number is the base, the small number is the exponent ( la base et l'exposant)

-un carre parfait 

-no notes or calculator will be allowed on the quiz  

Those who need to write the last part of the exam will write on Wednesday at 1225-130.

I expect to have exams and test ( square roots) back next Tuesday Feb 20th   It has taken some time to have all exams in and I can't return them until all have been written.
