7ABC STEAM Update

By now, students should be completing their STEAM experiments as the final outline is due on Tuesday, December 20th (observations, conclusion, mistakes). All of the outlines that have been submitted to date are considered to be rough copies to ensure that students understand the scientific method and what is expected for the final report.


The complete project is due by Friday, January 26th. A complete project includes a good copy of the scientific method (combine all outlines into one report) and a presentation to be shared with the class. Students are expected to complete the final project at home however extra help is readily available upon request.

Presentations can be in the form of a poster board, tri-fold board, powerpoint, video, or in-class demonstration. Students who wish to compete at the school or district level are encouraged to use a tri-fold board. While formal presentations are optional (in front of the class), all students are expected to present in a small-group setting. Presentations will begin on Monday, January 29th. Please refer to the attachment for the rubric that will be used to assess projects.
