Belleisle Bay Pickerel Tournament

The Pickerel Tournament on Belleisle Bay on Saturday, June 14 will give members of the Belleisle Bay community, young and old an opportunjty to participate in a hook and release pickerel derby.  The Belleisle Watershed Coalition has organized this inclusive event to get back to the Bay and enjoy its recreation potential. Though this is a stirctly for fun event with cash prizes for the longest pickerel, it is the firststep in a program to monitor wildlife in the Bay.  Belleisle Regional High School has a strong environmental program,  By creating events such as this, it is hope that a strong bond will be built between the students and the nature of their community.  Check Facebook: Belleisle Bay Fishing Tournament or Belleisle Watershed Coalition to find designated parking spots as well as rules and registration information.

Breakfast of pancakes and sausages will be available at 7am and the barbeque will be available all day in front of the Old Hotel for those who fish and those who want to watch the weigh-in.
To register, email burnsy_44@hotmail.com or call Bill at 468-2842 or 485-2704.
