The Sexual Health Nurse Practitioner will be here this morning.  If you would like to make an appointment you can text her at 333-2113 or fill out a form and place it in the box on the Nurse’s door in the Guidance Dept.

 

 Tomorrow is the National day for Truth and Reconciliation, today we wear orange to acknowledge the children who were lost to the residential school system. There will be a PowerPoint to watch during advisory today. The first residential school opened in 1830 and the last one closed in 1996.”


Attention Reach for the Top Players Seniors will have a very important practice at 1230 in Mr. Thorne's room today. Grade 10 players are invited to join if they wish. 

 

Rooted Knights (also known as RK)- a weekly student led club designed to encourage strong and rooted faith through Bible study, conversational cafes, community outreach, and other events. We will be having an interest meeting today at lunch in Ms. Drost room 404. All are warmly welcome.

 

Attention Grad Class: Grad Class Apple Picking is a go!  We are heading to the Apple Orchard on Monday October 17th - The bus will leave from KVHS at 4:00 and will return you to KVHS later in the evening. This event is $12, included in the cost is a bag of apples!  Tickets can be purchased through Cashless schools. Tickets will be on sale until Friday October 14th.

 

Musical: We will not be cowboys, Wildcats, Fiddlers, or sailing the open seas - that's a goodbye to Oklahoma, High School Musical 2, Fiddler on the Roof and Anything Goes!  Come to the theatre at lunch today to find out this year's musical! 

 

Hey KV - Next Friday is the Annual KV Colour wars!  Grade 9's - you will be dressing in as much blue as possible! Grade 10's - you have green! Grade 11 - you need to pull out all of your purple and Grade 12's - we are going Redhawk, it's red for you!  Which grade has the most spirit - we will find out on Friday October 7th!

 

Pink week is coming! October 11-14 will be pink week at KVHS, we will have another advisory challenge, a Pink week Coffee house on the Wednesday and our annual Pink Walk and assembly on Friday!  Start planning that Pink outfit KV!

Congrats to the Girls Softball team who finished their regular season undefeated with a 13-2 win vs. St. Mac's last night. The girls host Saint John High in the first round of the playoffs tonight at 6pm at Walter Jewett Field near the Daly's Irving. Come cheer on your Blue Knights! 

 

The varsity boys’ soccer team won 2 – 1 against Samuel de Champlain.  Goals score by Jack Williams and Ryan Hope.  The boys are still undefeated in the league.

 

 The hockey team is looking for an equipment/bench helper.  If interested contact Ms. Humphries (the sports one)

 

Renaissance – Could all members of Renaissance please meet today at 12:30 in Mrs. Wrights Room, Room 136 in the Math Wing.  New members are welcome!
