Transition To High School Blog

It is that time of year again when I am looking for grade 8 and high school classes interested in taking part in an online blog about life in high school.  In a secure site, grade 8 students can post questions to high school students and allow fears to be calmed prior to high school transition.  I can create the blog partnered with a class from a high school and have the two-way communication occur with a teacher approval filter in place preventing instant uploads. Last year, we even had a live video discussion between a grade 8 class and a high school class!  It proved to be a valuable experience for the students involved and created new friendships the following school year.  I am happy to work with any interested grade 8 -12 teacher to set things up.  Please email me with any questions or comments at:  Tim.lukie@nbed.nb.ca
