Education Centre Speak Out Showcase 2014

​Public Speaking is an important 21st Century skill, and we are so proud of our students who demonstrated this skill during this year’s school based and centre events. First place winners for Oratory, first and second place winners for Spoken Word and our Debate teams will attend the Provincial Event at St Thomas University on May 23rd, 2014.

Congratulations to all students who participated in this year’s events.  A special thank you goes out to the teachers who agreed to be the school based organizer and representative. Thank you to the Education Support Teachers for Literacy who worked very hard to make sure everything ran smoothly. Thank you to administrators and volunteer judges for supporting this worthwhile event, and to Millidgeville North School, Fundy High School and Hampton Middle School for hosting. There are not many employment opportunities where this skill is not an asset. We look forward to next year’s event.
