KVHS Morning Announcements

GENERAL INFO

·       Are you interested in student leadership? Would you like to have a say in the activities available to your fellow Crusaders? If yes, there will be a meeting on Friday, April 26th for any students interested in being part of the KVHS Leadership Team next year. This is open to all grade 9, 10, 11 students. If you have any questions you can see Mrs. Mawer or Mrs. Lanigan. The meeting will take place Friday at 12:30 in room 115, Mrs. Lanigan’s room.

 

·       Due to lack of sign ups, the grade 10 and 11 laser tag night will unfortunately be cancelled.

 

·       Hey Advisory teachers!  Check your emails for a PowerPoint on KV’s first Relay for Life.

 

ACADEMICS

·       Congratulations to the Computer Science 120 class whose Sumobot came 3rd yesterday at the NB Provincial Sumobot Championship.  Thank you to Julia MacPherson, John Kim, John Jung and Tolga Cohce for representing us at Simonds!

·       Would the students interested in being the featured artist this week, please come see Ms. Nicholson sometime today.

·       Attention Graphic Art & Design students:  We will be meeting in the Science Lecture theatre today.

·       Anyone interested in doing a Co-op placement next year in nursing or a trade, please see Mr. Doiron now in room 291.  Anyone who still wants to apply for Co-op but does not have their application in must see Mr. Doiron before 3:30 today.

 

 

 

 

 

CLUBS

·       KVHSThank you to all the students and staff who participated in the Me to We Kraft Dinner drive! It was a huge success!  In total we collected 465 boxes of Kraft Dinner.  The advisories that brought in the most KD were Mrs. Galbraith and Mrs. Pynn!  Congratulations to both advisories and thanks again KV for your incredible support.

·       Could call members of Renaissance please meet tomorrow, Thursday, April 25 at 12:30 in Mrs. Wright’s room, # 136.  New members are always welcome!

 

GUIDANCE

·       NBCC is hosting a Trades & Tech Career Exploration for girls on May 28. This is a day that fosters a positive environment in which young women have the opportunity to hear speakers discuss the rewards and challenges of their chosen career paths and to connect with mentors from their community. If you are interested in this opportunity, please see Mrs. Levesque in the Guidance Office to sign up.

·       Hey grade 11 students!!  Interested in attending UNB in 2020?  Come to the workroom on Tuesday, April 30 over the lunch hour to meet with the recruiter and see what you should be doing to prepare for university!
