Hi everyone,

It’s Lisa Jardine calling from Leatherbarrow Primary with a special Thursday talk mail.  If you thought I forgot about you, I assure you that I didn’t! I was at the District Office on Tuesday and Wednesday and am just getting back to school today.

I am attaching November’s newsletter and calendar to this talk mail. Please take some time to read what is happening this month. I have included information on the first report card that I am hoping you will find helpful.

I have been asked by both staff and parents to please remind everyone who is dropping off and picking up students, to do so safely. In the morning, please wait in line until you are waved up by a staff member to a drop off spot. Please do not drive around another vehicle or a school bus. Remember, students are to get out quickly on the side of the school. Parents should not be getting out of the car at the drop off area. In the afternoon, it is best to wait until after 2:00, so that you do not get caught in the bus line up. If buses are late and you happen to get caught in the line, please just stay in line, never pass a bus. If you are trying to park in the parking lot, do not slide up or drive beside buses to do so. Please just wait in line until you are at the parking lot and then turn in. There are so few spaces in that parking lot, you may not be able to find a parking spot so it is really is best to come between 2:00-2:10, after buses are gone, to pick up your child. At pick up, walk over to your child to get them and carefully walk back to your car with them. Please be very careful when pulling away as there can be a lot of people coming and going. I know this sounds like a lot of directions, but none of us would ever forgive ourselves if a child got hit because we were not following the rules or paying attention. Thank you for your support.
