Hi everyone,

It’s Lisa Jardine calling from Leatherbarrow Primary with your Tuesday talk mail.
Art from the Heart is this Thursday!!! We are very excited! Please click the address below to see a sneak peek of what you can expect to see!

Please remember to send in a canned good this week that can be used to prop up your child’s art. All canned goods will be given to the food bank to help to feed families over the summer. You must have a ticket to have something from the BBQ. Tickets for the BBQ will be sent home tomorrow. Sadly, our playground will not be ready to open by Thursday, but you will get a good look at the work that is happening when you are on the field for the BBQ and opening ceremony.
Swimming also starts on Thursday! We walk to swimming, rain or shine, so please make sure that children are dressed appropriately for the walk. Please ensure that they have their bathing suit and towel.
There is a mistake on the June calendar that was sent home.  Sorry about that. I thought you had paid for hot lunch until next week, but Mrs. Hebert assures me you only paid until this Friday, so this will be the last week for hot lunch and milk. Next week, we will make up the hot lunch days that were lost because of weather. We will have pizza on Tuesday to make up the January storm day, and pizza on Thursday to make up the February pizza day lost because of the storm. We will have subs on Wednesday to make up the Feb. sub storm day and subs on Friday to make up the April flood day. We have a list in the office as to who missed these days. Only those students who paid for these items and missed them because of weather will receive hot lunch, so please remember to send lunches and a drink.
Our Home and School, online auction starts next Monday, June 10, and runs until June 16th. All proceeds are going toward our inclusive playground, so remember to bid high, unless of course, you are bidding against me!
Also, next Monday, from 6 -7:30 p.m. (weather permitting) there will be a children's obstacle course on our playground field.  This is a free event sponsored by the ParticipACTION Community Better Challenge in which the town of Hampton is taking part.  Anyone with a postal code beginning with E5N is encouraged to come and give it a try! If a rain date is necessary, it will be posted on the Hampton, NB Facebook page.
Finally, we just received word that the last day of school, Friday, June 21, is a full day for students.
That’s it for today! Thanks for listening! Enjoy the Art from the Heart video and the sunshine!
