​Hi everyone,

It’s Lisa Jardine calling from Leatherbarrow Primary School with a reminder that our Kindergarten Transition Day is this Friday. If your last name begins with A-L we will see you at our 9:00am session. If your last name starts with M-Z we will see you at 12:00pm. The 9:00am session will end with a bus ride around School St. The 12:00pm session will begin with the bus ride.

When you arrive at the school for both sessions, you will be greeted in the front lobby where both you and your child will be given a nametag. Children will receive a colour which will indicate in which classroom they are to go to for the kindergarten experience. The teacher your child has on Friday does not necessarily indicate the teacher they will have in the fall.

Parents and guardians will also be given a coloured dot, and while your children are in the classroom, you will rotate between 3 separate 15 minutes sessions. One is with a K teacher, one is with an SLP and one with me.  After adults attend these sessions, you will have time to sit and chat with other K parents and guardians, or go and get a coffee and perhaps some well-deserved quiet time before picking up your child.

If you have not brought in all of your documentation yet, please try and bring it with you on Friday and Mrs. Sheppard will be able to take care of you. We are looking forward to seeing you and your child on Friday!​
