Our noon chess program starts this week with sessions taking place in our gym every Monday and Thursday from 12:15 to 12:45 for all interested Grades 3-5 students. Thank you to Mr. Stevens and Mr. Buckley for coaching again this year. We welcome any parent volunteers who wish to help.
Parents who have registered for Parent Math Night on November 9 are reminded that it starts at 6:30 pm in the school gym.
Our Remembrance Day Ceremony will take place on Wednesday, November 10 starting at 12:50 pm. There will be no school on Remembrance Day, November 11.
Parents may still register their children in Kindergarten for the fall of 2011. Please call the school at 658-5346 for details.
Mrs. Stacy Murdock is looking for parent volunteers to help out with our Santa Claus parade float. Please call 657-5379.
Our computer center is now accepting registrations for its Christmas Holiday Camp. Please call 674-2095 for details.
Mr. MacMurray, one of our teacher interns Mr. Coughlan, and I are participating in Movember, an annual Canada-wide fundraiser to support prostate cancer research. The challenge for participants is to see who can grow the best moustache before the end of November. Our goal is to raise $500.00. Anyone wishing to support us may send in a donation to the school.
