Friday
Night message:

·
As I mentioned on Open
House Night, we were filled to our maximum numbers in terms of class size and in
some cases over.  We never know of how
many students are coming into the school and who has moved to elsewhere to other
schools.  District has looked at our
current numbers and has given us a new teacher.
A new teacher means that we will be moving a few students around in
order to reduce numbers in a few classes.
I hope you will be supportive and while I do not like making these
calls, I have to.  It is not my decision
in many cases.

·
We are an allergy aware
school.  We ask that you are conscious
when packing student lunches that contain tree nuts and peanuts.  We have students with severe allergies to
both of those. We do also have latex allergies and also need to be aware of
that as well as wearing strong scents in the building.

·       Public Health Nurses are coming to the
school to look through our immunization records.  Letters were sent out to remind some parents
in the spring if the records were not complete.

·       Students can not be dropped off before 8:05
in the morning.  There are no teachers on
duty until 8:05.

·       Buses heading to Welsford area….I have
been given the following information.

In the
morning: RVMS students will be going on bus 347 as well as those students on
Cochrane Lane.  Other Westfield Students
will be taking 508.

In the
afternoon – Dwain on 386 will be taking his usual runs although we have
arranged for a couple of students to return home on 508.  Those parents have been contacted.

·       If you have paid on Cashless Schools,
there was a glitch and you might get a message saying you need to pay….disregard
it if you already have your receipt.
Thanks for using School Cash Online.

·       We will be doing a Terry Fox Walk here at
the school at the end of the month on September 26 if weather cooperates.  If you would like to send a Toonie for Terry
into Mrs. Kidney for that cause, she will be collecting them and will forward
donations onto the Terry Fox Foundation.

The community Terry Fox Run is happening
as well:
