1.      Movie Night Tomorrow
Night

Tomorrow Night we will be
playing the Disney Movie Monster in Paris.
Voting took place last week and while it was close, Monster in Paris
pulled ahead slightly.  Doors open at
6:00 and movie starts at 6:30.

Paris, 1910.
Emile, a shy movie projectionist, and Raoul, a colorful inventor, find
themselves embarked on the hunt for a monster terrorizing citizens. They join
forces with Lucille, the big-hearted star of the Rare Bird cabaret, an
eccentric scientist and his  monkey to save the monster, who turns out
to be an over-sized but harmless flea, from the city's ruthlessly ambitious
police chief.

2.
If you have secured your sitter / afterschool childcare for next year,
please communicate it to the office as soon as you can.  We need to know specifically if they are
staying here at the school with River Valley Preschool or at another off site
babysitter or childcare facility which involves bussing.   You can get the paperwork all filled out ahead
of time and this helps on the first day of school.

3.
Jump Rope for Heart envelopes are
due back on May 24.

4.
Reminder to Kindergarten parents that there is no school on Tuesday
which is our PreK orientation day.

5.
Still looking for volunteers for our June 20 Fun Day.  Let Mrs. Johnson know if you can help.

6.
We will be looking for parent volunteers to help out next year as
well.  There are many ways for you to
help out. Even if you can assist in small ways, we appreciate it.  Home and School Association is always looking
for help whether it be lunches, fundraising, book fair, or just your opinion,
it is wonderful if we have a lot of voices.
We will need someone to help out with fluoride.  We love classroom helpers.  If you can not come to the school, then there
may be things you can do at home on your own time.

7.       Please note there is a change from the
newsletter:

On
June 6 at 6:30 pm, we will be having a Spring Concert. Highlights of the
evening will include several grade 5 students performing their own
original compositions, and accompanied in some cases by Lisa McLaggan of Tomato
Tomato. Other students and even staff will also be appearing to perform
additional music and/or dance numbers. Admission is by donation to support the
purchase of risers for the music department. We hope that there will be a great
turnout to show support for these young musicians who deserve an audience for
their wonderful new songs!
