• Picture day is happening on Tuesday October 2. Lifetouch will
be the company this year so you will get proofs a few days after the photo
day. There are many online options that you can explore giving you
different backgrounds and different poses.
• Mad Science begins next week on Tuesday and Estey Art begins on
Thursday.
• Fire Safety Week is coming up. Today however, we did have an
unannounced fire drill when one of our students pulled the fire alarm. It
was a wonderful practice and learning opportunity but please talk with your
children about fire safety this weekend and keep an eye out for the Fire Safety
Gazette that will be coming home.
• A letter talking about our other emergency practices will be coming home
as well. We do practice lockdowns, fire drills and other situations on a
regular basis. We do tell all of our students to listen to their teachers
and the other adults in the building and treat practices as if they were
real.
• Home and School will be taking orders for calendars with important dates
for the year at Westfield. Things like dress up days, hot lunch
deadlines, report card dates, holidays etc. will be included. Other
things may creep up and I will inform you through other forms of communication
but this could be put on your fridge and be used to look ahead.
