1. November’s Community Event: Astronomy Night!
When:
Friday, November 24th 6-8pm
Where:
Westfield School front yard
What:
Volunteers from the Saint John Astronomy Club have kindly offered to bring
their telescopes out so we can have a peek at the night sky! Come check out
“what’s up”! Hot chocolate will be
provided.
2. Since we are having an Astronomy
Night this month, Movie Night will be held December 8 and we will be watching
the Movie Arthur’s Christmas. Mark it on your calendars! We may even have a few more Holiday surprises
that night. Stay tuned.
3. There will be a popcorn sale on next
Friday -November 17. The cost is $1 a
bag and money collected will go to the Westfield Staff Technology Wishlist.
4. Home and School Meeting is
happening on Tuesday night at 6:30.
5. Report Cards will be going home on
the 20th of this month. Parent
Teacher sign up begins that day as well.
Feel free to contact the school beginning on Monday November 20th
after 9:00 to schedule your appointment.
Book Fair will be running during Parent Teacher time as well.
6. I hope everyone noticed on the
newsletter that the Christmas Concert will be happening on December 20 with a 9:00
showing and a 12:00 showing. I encourage last names A-L to come to the first
one and M-Z to the second. I understand
if this cannot be arranged but it would help to cut down on parking issues.
7. Early Years Evaluations for students entering kindergarten are happening
on Tuesday. Please spread the word that
we are still looking for those students who should be entering in the fall and
we are asking them to register as soon as possible.
