Posts: Emma Dauphinee is Heading to National Qualifier in Calgary

Surf City Synchro athletes proved their metal this past weekend at a provincial competition in Fredericton. Among the athletes competing on the National Stream level, 4 athletes earned coveted spots to perform their solo routines at the National Qualifier in Calgary the week of March 19th to the 24th.

Emma Dauphinee, grade 9 student at STM, placed first in her solo and along with her figures component earned one of those 4 qualifying spots.

“The judges look at the technical figures marks and the solo performance together to determine who qualifies”, said Emma Dauphinee. “Saturday Morning I placed 6th in Figures and I knew that if I wanted to go to Calgary I had to win the solo performance Saturday afternoon. I danced for joy when the judges read my marks!”

Way to go Emma!
