Tuesday May 14th Saint John Theatre Company's Production of 1984 SJTC present George Orwell's dystopian classic 1984. The student preview night on Wednesday, 15 May, will kick off early this year with an extravaganza event at the SJTC space, 112 Princess Street, at 5:30 pm. This event will include a debate on the merits of 1984 compared to The Hunger Games. To get ready for this, we arescreening The Hunger Games in room 213 Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at lunch. Come to enjoy the movie and prepare for the debate. Students who attend the pre-performance event on Wednesday will be eligible for an even cheaper ticket to the play on Wednesday the 15th at the Imperial Theatre. PLUS there will be FREE PIZZA at 7pm for those who attend the debate. Sign up with Mr. Lenarczyk for any and all of these activities in room 213 by today, Tuesday 14 May. If you are interested in participating in the debate there is a spot available as well. (till Wednesday, 15 May 2013) Encounters with Canada “Encounters with Canada is a week-long National Leadership Program held in Ottawa, We are looking for Grade 11 Students who might be interested in developing Community and Leadership skills in their areas of interest. The NBCC Entrance Scholarship application is available in the Guidance Centre…. A $ 1000 scholarship will be awarded to a student from St. Malachy’s ….application deadline is May 27th. New Scholarship Applications  There are new scholarship and bursary applications arriving at the Guidance Office. Graduates should be checking for regularly. All students are welcome to attend even if you haven't been to a meeting in a while. Please bring along a snack that represents your culture (or just tastes good)! STM BOYS RUGBY Congratulations to both the senior and junior boys rugby teams with their wins over Saint John High by a score of 41-10 & 12-5 respectively on the weekend.
