Monday May 13th New Scholarship Applications There are new scholarship and bursary applications arriving at the Guidance Office. Graduates should be checking for regularly. New this week: Saint John Energy Bursary: $1000 to a St Malachy’s student studying Electrical Engineering or Business Administration at university. Bayview Credit Union Scholarship: Valued at $ 1000 Acadia Broadcasting Company Scholarship for Music valued at $1000 FACEPAINTERS WANTED! Can you facepaint at the Soap Box Durby? Help make Saint John children smile as you paint their faces! Please see Ms. Sheehan in art studio 173 this week. We need 12 saints to volunteer for a couple of hours on May 25th, Saturday. Thank you! Cultural Fusion We will be having our end of the year party next Monday after school in the Food Lab. All students are welcome to attend even if you haven't been to a meeting in a while. Please bring along a snack that represents your culture (or just tastes good)! Jr "M", "M:, and Winged "M" Applications Applications for students applying for Junior "M", "M", or Winged "M" are now available in the gym office. All applications must be returned by Wednesday May 29th. If you have any questions please see Ms. Shea in the gym office. {Please read from May 8th-May 29th} Grad Event Grads, we are having our next Grad event on May 22nd. We are having a "Photo Scavenger Hunt" and there is a limit to the number of Grads who can participate in this event. The cost is $10 so sign with Mr. Gaudet ASAP. STM BOYS RUGBY Congratulations to both the senior and junior boys rugby teams with their wins over Saint John High by a score of 41-10 & 12-5 respectively on the weekend. Players are reminded to place their rugby clothing orders with Mr. Abbott by May 22nd & of practice today after school at PES field. Our senior boys team play their last regular season match Tuesday, May 14th against Harbour View at Millidgeville Field. Game time is 5:30pm. Come out & support Saints Rugby! Cheerleading Congratulations to the STM Cheerleading Team. They won 2nd place at the PROVINCIAL competition this weekend! UNBSJ Pre-advising Sessions Are you attending UNBSJ in September? On Wednesday, May 15 a representative from UNBSJ will be at St Malachy’s to help students prepare for course registration. Sign up for session at the Guidance Centre before Wednesday……if you have any questions see Ms. Craft It is Customer Appreciation Time in the Cafeteria. Spend $5 or more and you will receive a ballot to go into a draw for 2 movie tickets along with 2 large popcorn and pop. The draw will be held Monday afternoon.
