Announcements Friday April 12th Boys Rugby Players are reminded to get their player forms and fees into Mr. Abbott ASAP. Players are also reminded to have their rugby hoodie order placed with Mr. Abbott by Monday, April 15th. Girls Rugby Your next training session will take place from noon until 2pm on Sunday at PES. Please dress appropriately. Please submit your forms to Ms. Trenholm and your $75 fee to Ms. Shea. Track and Field Students interested in track and field should see M. Dupont this week for information regarding practices, meet date and events available. Saint John Arts Center Program Portfolio 2014 Development Program applications are available for grade 11 & 12 grads--a program with professional art instruction, studio space, curatorial experience and preparing a polished portfolio for those applying for post-secondary fine arts/crafts. Applications due May 27th! Please see Ms. Sheehan in the art studio, room 173. Are you interested in doing a trade after high school? Come to a presentation on Apprenticeship Students in grades 11 and 12 are invited to an information session by the Department of Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labour. The presentation will be on Wednesday, April 17 during period 2. Students must sign up in advance at the Guidance Centre to attend the session. Reach for the Top There will be an important Reach for the Top practice Friday at lunch in room 232 to prepare for Saturday's tournament. Any students who are interested in joining the team are encouraged to attend and to check out the tournament being held here at St. Mac's on Saturday! Pizza! Saints in Action will be selling pizza tomorrow at lunch in the main hall. $2 per slice and $1 for a bottle of water. All proceeds will be donated to Free the Children! Grads Grad Fees are due to Mrs. O'Leary by April 30th, pease get them in as soon as possible! Field Hockey Camp The week of July 8th UNBSJ is offering a Field Hockey Camp. Stephen Goosen who is the current St. FX coach will focus on improving skills. If you are interested please come to the guidance center for more information. STM Reads We are very excited for this year's STM Reads which will launch Tuesday April 16th, 2013 and continue until Tuesday May 7th, 2013. Each day after hearing the clue, you can guess the name of the book by filling out a ballot in the main office to win a $50 Apple Card or a $50 Indigo card. The winner will be revealed at the STM Launch Assembly on April 16th. Also that day, each student will receive a ticket for a chance to win an iPad mini if they have the winning ticket when it is drawn at the assembly. Keep a look out for the new posters around the school that feature the STM Reads Saint and will help us as we continue to promote literacy!
