Description:
This course is designed for entry into post-secondary programs in Science, Engineering and Business. Students develop trigonometric reasoning by demonstrating an understanding of angles in standard position, develop and apply the equation of the unit circle, and graph and analyze the trigonometric functions sine, cosine and tangent. Students solve problems using the six trigonometric ratios, prove trigonometric identities, and solve first and second degree trigonometric equations. Students will develop algebraic and graphical reasoning through the study of relations and functions, applying compositions transformations and inverses. Students will also graph and analyze exponential and logarithmic functions.
