Description:
An emphasis is placed on the development of basic reading, writing, and speaking skills. The course contains two main components: literature and writing. In the literature unit, the students will study the short story, the novel, poetry, drama and media. The writing unit continues emphasis on developing good sentence and paragraph writing skills, the long composition or report, writing summaries, spelling, punctuation, and syntax.
