Forest Hills School

We Build Inclusion, Capacity, and Learning Communities

September 15th, 2017

This is a message from Mrs. Savoie, principal at Forest Hills School.

First half day for students, Wednesday September 20th.  K-8 walking students (pick-up, daycare, etc.) will be dismissed at 11:30.  All bussing students will be called
down as the busses arrive.

Saturday Sept 16 has been designated Becca Scholfield day in New Brunswick. She is a recent graduate
from Riverview High in Moncton. She was diagnosed
with terminal brain cancer and
wanted to leave a legacy of people being kind to one another.

Please encourage
your child and family to commit at least 1 Act of Kindness this coming Saturday for
Becca.
On Monday each class will get a coloured set of ballots. And We will send our number of Acts of Kindness
to Riverview High School for Becca.  The Beccatoldme website has additional information if you’re interested.

Just a reminder that children can’t go home on a friend’s bus.  If there is a family emergency, they you would need to contact the office and we will complete the proper paperwork.

We will be practicing our lockdown procedures Monday morning.  Teachers have taken the time to practice this emergency procedure this week and the students are aware that there
will be a drill on Monday.

Our first grade 6-8 dance will be next Thursday from 6-8PM.  The cost is $3 and it’s always lots of fun!

Please don’t use the bus drop off zone out front to drop off or pick up students during arrival and dismissal times.  It gets very congested and it is a safety issue.  Please
drop off in the back of the school.

Just an update on our hot lunch.  We are hard at work securing volunteers to get our program up and running.  We are hopeful that we will be taking orders the last week of September,
but will keep you updated.

There will be a parent hockey meeting in the middle school library on Thursday, September 21st from 7-9.

Remember Falcons, Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Safe!
