December 1st, 2015

Hello, this is Mrs. Savoie calling from FHS with some exciting news!

Today was a big day here at Forest Hills.  At 9:30, Mrs. Brown the Vice Principal and a few students went to Downey Ford to accept a cheque for “Drive one for your school.”
She accepted the cheque on behalf of several ASD-S schools.  Funds will be divided up at a later time.

At 11:00, Miss Young and I went to Coles MacAllister where they surprised us with several books and a cheque for $5000 worth of books for their “Giving Tuesdays 2015” campaign.
As you know, Coles MacAllister adopted FHS late last year.  They have also donated many other books and $1200 through online Adopt a School.

At 1:00, our PALs form Canaport LNG along with the Saint John Mill Rats, surprised us with a wonderful assembly.  Not only were some players from the Mill Rats present, but
every student was given a slip worth 6 Mill Rats tickets that they will be bringing home tomorrow.  You can use the QR code or the website to log on and print off your voucher.  You will then take your voucher or copy of the voucher on your phone to the box
office for up to 6 free tickets for the game on Wednesday, December 23rd.  You will want to go to the box office before December 8th when the tickets go out to the general public.  It is a first come first serve basis, but FHS has the
first chance at them before December 8th.  It was all very exciting!

For parents of grade 8 students please join Mrs. Brown tomorrow evening at 6:00 for an information meeting if your child is interested in the Halifax trip. If you are unable
to attend please contact Mrs. Brown at the school for additional details.

Finally, thank you to those who were able to join us for Family Literacy Night tonight!

Remember Falcons, be respectful, be responsible, and be safe!

Regards,
