Forest Hills School We Build Inclusion, Capacity, and Learning Communities September 12th, 2014 This is a message from Mrs. Savoie, principal at Forest Hills School. Tim Horton’s will be running their Smiley Cookie campaign starting on September 15th until the 21st.  All money raised in the Saint John area (from Hampton to St. George) will go toward the Empty Stocking Fund.  What a sweet way to make a difference in a child’s life! I know that there was concern around a bullying situation posted on Facebook.  A young girl posted her picture saying that she needed help and was being bullied at Forest Hill Elementary.  I just want to assure everyone that that was not our school and was apparently a school in the States.  I also wanted to remind students and parents that if you do have concerns about a bullying situation, we have a confidential bully report form on our website that is automatically submitted to school administration.  You are also always free to call us at 658-5338.  All reports of bullying that we are made aware of are taken very seriously. We would like to thank the Saint John Education Centre Facilities crew and the Saint John Community Foundation for their grant which enabled us to lay stencils on the playground.  We now have 4 square, hopscotch and a basketball court for our students to enjoy! FHS is looking for your support in the Ford Drive One Event on Saturday, September 20th.  Information will be coming home on Monday.  Come on out and test drive a new car and make some money for the school! There will be a grade 6-8 dance on Thursday the 18th fro 6-8.  The cost is $3 and there will be a canteen.  Drives must be arranged for an 8PM pick up. The school will be participating in the Terry Fox Walk at 1PM on Wednesday, September 24th.  Please wear comfy shoes.  A donation of $1 is appreciated. There will be a PSSC meeting on Wednesday the 24th at 6PM.  We will be meeting in the learning commons. Remember Falcons, be respectful, be responsible, and be safe! Have a nice weekend, Melissa Savoie Principal Forest Hills School We Build Inclusion, Capacity, and Learning Communities Forest Hills School students will become successful, productive citizens fulfilling their passions in life as part of an ever-changing world.
