Here are your morning announcements for Thursday March 30th, 2023. 


*The announcements posted today reflect those which were read this morning. Please be aware that changes could occur during the day (cancellations, etc.) and we might not be able to amend them.  


First Half- Red, Orange, Black and White classrooms will report to cafeteria during the first half of lunch. The grade level groups from blue, purple, yellow and green teams will report to target locations using the Courtenay Bay Doors.    


Second Half- Blue, Purple, yellow and green will report to cafeteria and grade level groups from Red, Orange, Black and white will be in their assigned areas using the back doors near the gym. 


Target Locations: This week the grade 8 groups will report to the Courtyard, grade 6 groups will report to the field/Courtney Ave side of the building, and grade 7 groups will report to the gym.  


Rotation Flow Chart: Gym --> Courtyard --> Field --> Gym 


Our grade 7 classes will be eating in their homerooms during their designated eating time this week.  Staff, please follow the duty rotation sent out. 


Clubs & Activities: Only announce today and tomorrow’s clubs  

 

Monday 

 

Dungeons & Dragons Club: We will meet in Mr. Carpenter’s room 114. Don’t forget to bring your lunch. 


There will be a new club in the computer lab at lunch for students interested in Animation!   


Band – Trumpets  


Gardening club today in room 312. New members welcome! Members, please remember to water your trays! 

 

Tuesday 

 

Activities Club – Room 237, Bring your lunch and stay for the hour. 


Culture Club: No culture club this week as the grade 6 students are eating in their classrooms. See you next week! 


Sports Club: is cancelled today, March 28th because grade 7s are eating in their homerooms. 


Band- Woodwinds, Baritone and Bass sectional 


Fitness Club – There is a sign-up sheet on the fitness room door to book your spot on Tuesdays, all lunch. This is limited to only 10 students per week.  


GSA leaders – please meet in Mrs. Shannon’s room at the beginning of Block D after you’ve checked in with your Block D teacher.  

 

Wednesday 

 

3D Print Club – No 3D print club this week as the grade 8s are eating in their classes 


Renaissance Team: will be meeting in room 130 (Mme. Ferrar’s room) during the second half of lunch today. We will also be taking our yearbook photo, so be sure to attend. 


Art Club – No art club this week.  


Choir – At lunch in the music room.  


Band – Full Band Rehearsal after school 


Heritage Fair- Participating students please meet in Mr. Robinson’s room at the start of lunch for a check in 


 
 

Thursday 

 

GSA – We will be watching and discussing a video this week. If you want to participate in our discussion, come to the auditorium at lunch. Remember, if you decide to come, you stay for the whole hour. 


Band – Percussion  


Woodworking Club  


Cheerleading/teacher practice in room 112 in the basement 

 

Friday 

 

Drama Club: meet today in Mme. Creamer’s room – bring your lunch stay for the hour. 


Tech Crew – meet in the music room at lunch 


The computer lab will be open

BAYSIDE ATHLETICS: 


Cheerleading:  


Practice Thursday after school from 3-5:30 and Friday from 3-5.  


Volleyball:  


JV Girls: Bayside won against Samuel de Champlain 5 straight sets for the win. Great start. Looking forward to the rest of the season. Next practice is Monday, April 3rd 4:30 - 6:00pm. 


Varsity Girls: First game is today at Bayside against PES! Come cheer on your Broncos!  


Varsity Boys’ Volleyball –   Practice Monday 3:00 - 4:30pm and home game Tuesday against Samuel de Champlain. Practice Wednesday 4:30-6pm
