Here are your morning announcements for Tuesday March 14th, 2023.
*The announcements posted today reflect those which were read this morning. Please be aware that changes could occur during the day (cancellations, etc.) and we might not be able to amend them.
First Half- Red, Orange, Black and White classrooms will report to cafeteria during the first half of lunch. The grade level groups from blue, purple, yellow and green teams will report to target locations using the Courtenay Bay Doors.
Second Half- Blue, Purple, yellow and green will report to cafeteria and grade level groups from Red, Orange, Black and white will be in their assigned areas using the back doors near the gym.
Target Locations: This week the grade 8 groups will report to the field, grade 6 groups will report to the gym and grade 7 groups will report to the courtyard.
Rotation Flow Chart: Gym --> Courtyard --> Field --> Gym
Our grade 6 classes will be eating in their homerooms during their designated eating time this week. Staff, please follow the duty rotation sent out.
Clubs & Activities: Only announce today and tomorrow’s clubs
Monday
Dungeons & Dragons Club: Please note the change in location. We will meet on Mondays in Mr. Carpenter’s room 114. Don’t forget to bring your lunch.
There will be a new club in the computer lab at lunch for students interested in Animation!
Band – Trumpets
Gardening club is cancelled today. See you next week!
Tuesday
Activities Club – Cancelled March 14. Room 237, Bring your lunch and stay for the hour.
Culture Club: No meeting this week as grade 6 students are eating in their classrooms. See you next week!
Sports Club: in Mr. Walls classroom today during the whole lunch hour.
Yearbook – room 325
Band- Woodwind and Bass Sectional CANCELLED for this week
Fitness Club – starting next Tuesday, mr long will be running a fitness club, this is limited to the guest five students each Tuesday and will take place all lunch hour in the fitness room between the tech room and the gym. .
Wednesday
3D Print Club – Bring your lunch and stay for the hour
Renaissance Team: will be meeting in Mme. Ferrars room during the second half of lunch today.
Art Club – bring your lunch, stay for the hour.
Choir – At lunch in the music room.
Band – Full Band Rehearsal after school
Heritage Fair- Participating students please meet in Mr. Robinson’s room at the start of lunch for a check in
Thursday
GSA – GSA is cancelled this week because Mrs. Shannon is out of the building. I can’t wait to see everyone next week!

Woodworking Club
Cheerleading/teacher practice in room 112 in the basement
Friday
Drama Club: No drama club this week as the grade 6’s are eating in their homerooms.
Tech Crew – meet in the music room at lunch
The computer lab will be open

BAYSIDE ATHLETICS:
Cheerleading: Practice Thursday after school from 3-5:30. Practice Friday after school from 3-5.
Basketball:
Please pay your Basketball athletic fee on Cashless Schools. Thank you.
Varsity boys: Please return uniforms to Ms. Hills ASAP.
Volleyball:
JV & Varsity Girls: Tryouts Wednesday March 15th and Thursday March 16th from 3-4:30.
JV & Varsity Boys’ Volleyball Tryouts- Tuesday, March 14th from 3:00-5:00pm and Wednesday, March 15 from 4:30-6:00pm.
Also, JV Boys’ Volleyball tryouts continue, Friday, March 17th from 3:30-5:00pm.
Co-Ed Flag football:
Next tryout is Monday, March 20th from 6-8pm.
