Here are your morning announcements for Tuesday December 20th, 2022.
*The announcements posted today reflect those which were read this morning. Please be aware that changes could occur during the day (cancellations, etc.) and we might not be able to amend them.
First Half- Red, Orange, Yellow, and Green classrooms will report to cafeteria during the first half of lunch. The grade level groups from blue, purple, black and white teams will report to target locations using the Courtenay Bay Doors.
Second Half- Blue, Purple, Black, and White will report to cafeteria and grade level groups from Red, Orange, Yellow, and Green will be in their assigned areas using the back doors near the gym.
Target Locations: This week the grade 8 groups will report to the field, grade 6 groups will report to the gym and grade 7 groups will report to the courtyard.
Rotation Flow Chart: Gym --> Courtyard --> Field --> Gym
Reminders:
Our grade 6 classes will be eating in their homerooms during their designated eating time this week. Staff, please follow the duty rotation sent out.

Holiday Fun Week Daily Activities:
Menorah Monday-Blue and White Day with cultural activities provided
Toasty Tuesday-Holiday hats, socks and scarves with treats delivered
Whoville Wednesday-Dress like the Grinch or a Whoville character, Gingerbread building in classrooms We provide the Graham crackers and frosting, students BYO Candy for decorate.
Tacky Thursday- Wear your favorite holiday sweater. Staffaulty/ Student Dodgeball event in the afternoon
Festive Friday- Dress like a Christmas tree-Fun Day with student activities all morning.
Clubs & Activities: Only announce today and tomorrow’s clubs
Monday
Dungeons & Dragons Club: meet in Mrs. Shannon’s room (314) at lunch
Arabic Club – Cancelled today
Band - Trumpet sectional is cancelled for today
Tomorrow is Toasty Tuesday, don’t forget to wear your holiday scarves, socks
Tuesday
Activities Club – Cancelled this week. See you in 2023.
Culture Club: No culture this week. See you after the Holiday Break!
Sports Club: in Mr. Walls classroom today at lunch during both halves.
Wednesday
3D Print Club – There is no 3D print club this week
Manga Club: meet in Mrs. Shannon’s room (314) at lunch
Renaissance Team: Will be meeting Wednesday at lunch in room 130. All staff and students interested in supporting the culture and climate at Bayside can attend. Bring your lunch and stay for the hour.
Art Club - The list of students selected for the art club will be posted on Monday by lunch outside of the art room. Art club will take place Wednesday’s, in the art room, bring your lunch.
Yearbook :
Thursday
GSA – meets at lunch in the auditorium. All are welcome!
Yearbook Committee: There is no yearbook today as Ms. Bailey is absent
Friday
Art/Comics club will be in room 114. Sign-up sheet posted outside of room. (No school next two Fridays)

Basketball tryouts start this week! Girls tryouts are Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday after school from 3-4:30. Boys tryouts are Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 4:30-6.
Recycling:
Bayside’s recycling program is back up and running so please leave your recyclables on top of a locker or in one of the blue bins in the cafeteria.
