Here are your morning announcements for Monday December 19th, 2022.
*The announcements posted today reflect those which were read this morning. Please be aware that changes could occur during the day (cancellations, etc.) and we might not be able to amend them.
Target Locations: This week the grade 8 groups will report to the field, grade 6 groups will report to the gym and grade 7 groups will report to the courtyard.
Rotation Flow Chart: Gym --> Courtyard --> Field --> Gym
Reminders:
Our grade 6 classes will be eating in their homerooms during their designated eating time this week. Staff, please follow the duty rotation sent out.
Important Info:
Clubs & Activities: Only announce today and tomorrow’s clubs
Monday
Dungeons & Dragons Club: meet in Mrs. Shannon’s room (314) at lunch
Arabic Club – Cancelled today
Band - Trumpet sectional is cancelled for today
Tuesday
Activities Club – Cancelled this week. See you in 2023. Come play board games, read, draw, colour, or speak to Mr. Swain about any other activity you are interested in. Meet in room 237 and bring your lunch.
Culture Club: No culture this week. See you after the Holiday Break!
Sports Club: in Mr. Walls classroom today at lunch.
Wednesday
3D Print Club – There is no 3D print club this week
Manga Club: meet in Mrs. Shannon’s room (314) at lunch
Renaissance Team: Will be meeting Wednesday at lunch in room 130. All staff and students interested in supporting the culture and climate at Bayside can attend. Bring your lunch and stay for the hour.
Art Club - The list of students selected for the art club will be posted on Monday by lunch outside of the art room. Art club will take place Wednesday’s, in the art room, bring your lunch.
Yearbook :
Thursday
GSA – meets at lunch in the auditorium. All are welcome!
Yearbook Committee: There is no yearbook today as Ms. Bailey is absent
Friday
Art/Comics club will be in room 114. Sign-up sheet posted outside of room. (No school next two Fridays)
Drama Club: come to Mme. Creamer’s room Friday at lunch to participate in some acting activities. Bring your lunch and stay for the hour. All are welcome!
Additional Activity Notices:
TECH CREW – Enzo Rolemburg and Emma Epton meet Ms. Lucy in the music room at the beginning of Block D.
CHOIR – All CHOIR STUDENTS are to MEET in the Auditorium for a sound check BLOCK E.
BEGINNER BAND and Choir – “It’s time to play the music, It’s time to light the lights!!” Our Concert is TONIGHT! Meet in the Music room at 6:15pm. Don’t forget your music and your instrument!

Badminton
If you have not paid Ms. Hills 2 dollars for the City & District competition, please do so quickly.
Meet today (Monday) at noon at the gym to take photos for the yearbook.
Cheerleading:
Practice will be held Friday after school from 3-5! Please come ready to practice!
Basketball:
Basketball tryouts start next week! Girls tryouts are Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday after school from 3-4:30. Boys tryouts are Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 4:30-6.
Recycling:
Bayside’s recycling program is back up and running so please leave your recyclables on top of a locker or in one of the blue bins in the cafeteria.
