Here are your morning announcements for Monday Nov. 7th 2022.
*The announcements posted today reflect those which were read this morning. Please be aware that changes could occur during the day (cancellations, etc.) and we might not be able to amend them.
First Half- Red, Orange, Yellow, and Green classrooms will report to cafeteria during the first half of lunch. The grade level groups from blue, purple, black and white teams will report to target locations using the Courtenay Bay Doors.
Second Half- Blue, Purple, Black, and White will report to cafeteria and grade level groups from Red, Orange, Yellow, and Green will be in their assigned areas using the back doors near the gym.
Target Locations: This week the grade 6 groups will report to the gym, grade 7 groups will report to the courtyard and grade 8 groups will report to the field.
Rotation Flow Chart: Gym --> Courtyard --> Field --> Gym
Reminders:
Our grade 6 classes will be eating in their homerooms during their designated eating time this week. Staff, please follow the duty rotation sent out.
Walking students, please use the Courtnay Bay door at dismissal time.
Important Info:
School Clothing is available to order on School Cash Online until Nov 9th. Students have the option of a t-shirt, hoodie, toque or cinch bag! Orders are set to arrive in early December
Clubs & Activities:
Monday
Dungeons & Dragons Club: D&D Club will be in Mrs. Shannon’s room at lunch.
Arabic Club – if you’d like to join the Arabic club, please go to Mrs. Harris’ room 134.
Tuesday
Board Game Club – meet in room 237 with Mr. Swain. You are free to bring your own school appropriate game. Bring your lunch and stay for the hour.
Culture Club: No culture club this week November 8th as Grade 6 classes are eating in their homerooms. Are you interested in learning about a new culture? Are you interested in sharing your culture? Bring your lunch to Mrs. Welch’s room 232 and join us.
Bayside Trivia Club – If you’re interested in joining Bayside’s Trivia Club, and potentially competing against other schools in a Trivia Tournament, meet in Ms. Edwards room for the first half of lunch on Tuesday. Please bring your lunch if you eat during the first half.
Wednesday
Choir – at lunch
3D Print Club – Will meet Wednesday in Mme Hickey’s room
Manga Club: Manga club will be in Mrs. Shannon’s room at lunch.
BAND – CANCELLED for this week.
Thursday
GSA – meets at lunch in the auditorium. All are welcome!
Yearbook - Meeting during lunch in room 335
Friday
Art/Comics club will be in room 114. Sign-up sheet posted outside of room.
Drama Club:
Yearbook Committee: There is no meeting during lunch today. However, yearbook committee needs to come to Ms. Bailey’s room during Block C today. Please do attendance with your class and then make your way to room 235. An email has been sent to staff regarding this.
Additional Activity Notices:
CHOIR – Keep practicing for the Remembrance day assembly on Thursday.
BEGINNER BAND - Trumpets and Trombone today at lunch.
Flutes, clarinets and saxes tomorrow
Band is CANCELLED after school on Wednesday for this week.
Tech Crew – Meeting tomorrow at lunch in the music room.

Ultimate Frisbee
Last tryout today, November 7th from 3-4:30pm. Only the students who have attended previous tryouts should be there.
